"Why settle for just a tattoo, when you could have a piece of Art"?
My name is Drake, I work in Pensacola, Fl, & I have been a Tattoo Artist since 2003. I work at All About Ink located 2020 N 9th Ave, on the corner of 9th & Jordan, Five minutes from Cordova Mall. We are Pensacola's largest tattoo shop & provide a clean, comfortable, and professional environment.
I am a Custom Artist, all you have to bring with you is your ideas, & we'll sit down & create a custom one-of-a-kind design specifically for you. I specialize in Bright Detailed Color Pieces, but I also enjoy doing Japanese style tattoos, smooth Black & Grays, Coverups, Portraits, Realism, Neo-Traditional, Etc.. Being an artist, I enjoy doing most anything as long as it is done in an artistic way. Even something as simple as lettering can be artistic, if it's done in an engaging way & it flows with the body.
How I got my start in tattooing:
I guess you could say I've been into the art of tattooing since I was a little kid. I remember saving my allowance to constantly buy those little 5 cent Bazooka Joe Bubble Gum's as a kid, just so I could get my hands on those temporary tattoos that came with them, but not even wanting the gum. I would always throw that rock hard stuff away. My mom would come home and have to scrub off all those fake tattoos I had all over me, before school the next day.
I've been an artist all my life, I honestly don't even know when I started because I have been drawing since before the earliest memory I can recall. I remember drawing little tanks & planes at 5 years old, before graduating to drawing Ninja Turtles nonstop, & then it was on to drawing all my favorite comic book characters. Collecting comics at around 12 years old, is what got me serious about being an Artist altogether. That's when I realized that all these Artist were successful, & making a living by doing what they love & creating art.. Little did I know how helpful repeatedly drawing my favorite comic book character, Ghost Rider (who has a flaming skull for a head) would be later in life. Because now that I'm a Tattoo Artist, it sure comes in handy being able to draw the hell out of some skulls & flames! lol
10 + years into my career & I'm still loving creating art. Having fun growing as an artist, & pushing myself to be better.
